Berman Hopkins participated in the The Turtle Krawl 5k Run/Walk, the largest 5k race in Brevard County.
Proceeds go to the Sea Turtle Preservation Society made up of a diverse group of volunteers who have a passion for “Helping sea turtles survive.” The society prides themselves on the number of projects hey operate that are geared to all facets of sea turtle education, research and rescue. Many of these projects, like walks, strandings, and nest surveys, are conducted under the guidelines set forth by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), Bureau of Imperiled Species, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services.
Berman Hopkins participated in the “Beat the Leader 5K Run/2 Mile Walk” on Saturday, January 25th. The race course was in the sand at Coconuts on the Beach (2 Minutemen Cswy, Cocoa Beach). We had fun and raised money for United Way. A delicious post-race breakfast at Coconuts was served to all the contestants. We couldn’t have picked a better event to start our New Year’s fitness resolution with.
