Therefore, we are pleased to announce the promotion to Partner of two accomplished professionals – Jason Berry, CPA, and Steve Rivera, CPA. Both are highly qualified with the education and experience to provide clients with the essential advice and necessary resources to support the needs of their businesses.

Jason Berry, Tax Partner
Jason Berry, CPA, has been with the firm since 2014. His primary focus is small to medium-sized businesses that need assistance with their accounting and guidance on tax issues. He also focuses on tax preparation and planning for high-net-worth individuals and their families and has extensive knowledge of estate, trust, and gift taxation. This has led to Jason developing strong relationships with clients and becoming a trusted advisor.
Steve Rivera, Audit Partner
Steven Rivera, CPA, is an accounting and finance professional with over 15 years of success in public and corporate accounting. Steve spent the first seven years of his career with two of the “Big Four” CPA firms, focusing on providing assurance services to companies within the healthcare, hospitality, and real estate industries. Steve then transitioned out of public accounting, gaining experience in operational and corporate finance and accounting in senior management roles with a Fortune 15 telecommunications company and the largest privately-held homebuilder in North America. In 2020, Steve joined Berman Hopkins, where he continued to build his expertise in the real estate, manufacturing, technology, and government contracting industries. He also focuses much of his time in providing transactional advisory services to companies entering into mergers and acquisitions transactions. Since joining Berman Hopkins, Steve has been intentional in providing excellent client service, and serving as a strong leader and manager to those on his team. Steve has also been instrumental in the on-going effort to hire and retain exceptional talent within the firm, specifically focusing his efforts on campus recruiting at local universities and leading the firm’s annual summer leadership program.
